Grupos de apoyo

Our support groups provide a virtual community setting to allow those diagnosed to share personal experiences, ask questions, and foster connection. Our programs are tailored to early-stage breast cancer, those living with metastatic breast cancer, as well as inflammatory breast cancer which impacts less than 5% of those diagnosed.

Your generous donation also enables us to provide essential complementary programs to help breast cancer survivors make sense of the trauma a breast cancer diagnosis brings through professionally led programs in art therapy and expressive writing. These modalities foster healing beyond just the physical. They touch upon the mental and emotional well-being of breast cancer survivors.

Breast cancer is a significant health issue, impacting the lives of millions. According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer during their lifetime, which translates to an estimated 297,790 new cases expected in 2024 alone .

Apoyo mental y emocional

Su generosa donación nos permite ofrecer programas complementarios esenciales para ayudar a las supervivientes de cáncer de mama a dar sentido al trauma que conlleva un diagnóstico de cáncer de mama a través de programas de arteterapia y escritura expresiva dirigidos por profesionales. Estas modalidades fomentan la curación más allá de lo físico. Afectan al bienestar mental y emocional de las supervivientes de cáncer de mama. 

Grupos de apoyo

Nuestros grupos de apoyo ofrecen un entorno comunitario virtual que permite a las personas diagnosticadas compartir experiencias personales, plantear preguntas y fomentar la conexión. Nuestros programas se adaptan a las primeras fases del cáncer de mama, a quienes padecen cáncer de mama metastásico y al cáncer de mama inflamatorio, que afecta a menos del 5% de las personas diagnosticadas. Ahora, las personas diagnosticadas de cáncer de mama inflamatorio por fin tienen una comunidad a la que pueden llamar suya. La experiencia en línea nos permite llegar a comunidades rurales, centros de salud y pacientes que de otro modo no tendrían acceso a programas de apoyo. Programas de bienestar

Regale bienestar. SBC ofrece muchos programas de bienestar adaptados a las personas diagnosticadas de cáncer de mama. Ofrecemos clases semanales en línea como Yoga, Meditación, Qi Gong, Pilates, Mindfulness, Clases de Movimiento, y mucho más.

Contenidos educativos para capacitar

El conocimiento es poder Apoye contenidos educativos precisos y fiables en forma de blogs, artículos e investigaciones, hasta episodios semanales de podcast y seminarios web para preguntar a los expertos. Educational Travel Grants

Nuestro programa de subvenciones para viajes permite a los defensores de las pacientes con cáncer de mama asistir a importantes conferencias y actos como el Simposio sobre el cáncer de mama de San Antonio, la Sociedad Americana de Oncología Clínica, Living Beyond Breast Cancer y muchos otros. Su generosidad ayuda a sufragar los gastos de viaje, inscripción, hoteles y comidas para que las personas diagnosticadas con cáncer de mama puedan asistir a las conferencias, obtener información valiosa y ponerse en contacto con supervivientes, luchadores y defensores de pacientes.

We stay up to date with the latest clinical trials and curate content from trusted partners and providers so our community members can make informed decisions based on reputable sources.

Our travel grant program enables breast cancer patient advocates to attend important conferences and events such as the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and may others.  

 

Your generosity helps off set the cost of travel, registration, hotels, and meals so those diagnosed with breast can attend conferences, gain valuable information, and connect with survivors, thrivers, and patient advocates!

In-Person Support

Your contribution to our in-person breast cancer retreats provides those diagnosed with breast cancer to experience a much-deserved and needed respite for a long weekend.

 

Participants on our SBC Retreats receive an all-inclusive weekend get-a-way to connect with others diagnosed with breast cancer, customized programming, delicious and nutritious meals, and opportunities to be in nature and make lasting connections.
